Welcome to the most amazing view in our part of the Garden Route, your own sanctuary where you can slow down, relax and enjoy what our beautiful region has to offer. Whether you want to simply sit on the deck and enjoy the view, or explore our coastline and beautiful natural forests, there are plenty of options available.
Regular features on our calendar are our markets – why not spend a Saturday morning enjoying the Wild Oats Market in Sedgefield: good food as well as handmade arts and crafts. In addition, you can enjoy live music, washed down with a local craft beer. If you enjoy exploring an area through its liquid refreshments, why not pop in to Red Bridge Brewing Co - our own micro-brewery, based in the Knysna industrial area. A short drive away is the Knysna Distillery & Gin Bar, where you can enjoy locally-distilled gin, made using the finest botanicals and spring water. And why not enjoy a pizza from next-door Maillard Bakery at the same time? Of course, if you want to get your heartrate up, why not try Fisherman’s Walk, a 2.3 km loop that skirts the clifftops close to our establishment. For the more energetic, a walk along the beach to Buffalo Bay (approximately 9km there and back) is best undertaken at low tide – and of course we’ll be happy to fetch you from Buffs if the thought of walking back seems a bit too much! Something to look forward to towards the end of the month, is the Knysna Motor Show 2024 - an eagerly awaited event for car enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. Held annually at Thesen Island Harbour Town in Knysna, South Africa, it showcases an impressive collection of vintage, classic, and modern cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles. Whether you’re a serious collector or simply appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of these vehicles, the show has something for everyone. Well, that’s it for this month – enjoy your time in this beautiful part of the Garden Route!
